Having skipped breakfast in place of coffee, we returned to Afros in Acharavi. We had a massive brunch of seafood: calamari, whitebait, tuna fritters etc. and then said our farewells to Costas and Chris. I'm sure we will see them again.

Sitting on the castle walls we watched ...

After a few hours of lounging around doing nothing much, we decided British weather called for British food, so we set off to a British expat haunt named Sally's in Ipsos. Arriving just as the sky opened up, we found the place was convincingly British, complete with a pool table, a darts board and smokey bar full of tattooed men drinking from cans. My parents ...

... Giannades, then ran alongside olive groves, before dropping onto the valley floor and returning up an opposite ridge to the town. It was easy going and the sun wasn't sun enough to bother us much. We spotted a dozen abandoned cars in various fields. Strangely they were all on their backs, wheels pointing to the sky, like giant upturned beetles. Maybe it was a local hobby ? Or maybe just a series of freakish coincidences ? Who knows. There was no ...
