... to the airport is expensive and we make it onto our A320 to Ottawa. Lunch is at the airport and the food seems ultra ordinary after all of the cruise dining. We arrive in Calgary, are picked up at the airport then invited to a fabulous dinner at our daughters place.. Now; that is good food.

Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada lornekey...

Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada swissbear... of things to do the following day.

Speaking of busses, we hopped onto another one which took us back to the Chebucto Inn. Ted and Marlene had returned while we were away and a very jolly reunion took place then and there. Marlene beckoned us all to come near and asked if we smelled anything? Seems she had been wearing the same set of clothes for the last five days and wanted for her family to enjoy the outcome. We had dinner at the Inn, which was excellent, and then ...
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada andy_n... to introduce ourselves. It turns out that we have a girl next to us that has the same last name as Brad, which is Hering, but they are still unsure of what that means exactly. Also it turns out that this girl and her roommate are both very loud and energetic. After meeting everyone around us we went to a meeting where the faculty introduced themselves. Then we finally headed to bed for the night.

On Saturday I got ...
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada vanderby... the time we got to Halifax. She was hungry for meat...real meat. So we found a nice pub and had an amazing steak dinner (with Alberta beef). For those wondering how does a 14 year old get into a pub, the answer is...everybody thinks she's over 18.

Once supper was done it was dark. A little difficult for taking pictures. So we went back to the camper and said we'd come back tomorrow...after seeing Peggy's Cove (can't come to Nova Scotia without going there).
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada cobra1899... about an hour they let me in but only after asking where I was going, who was I staying with, what my intentions were in the country!!

I met with Paulina and her son and cruised around Halifax for 5 days, The town has a lovely feel to it - bit oldy worldy. People seem to run on a differnet pace here but it definately has a lovely vibe to it. Its quite a clean in the downtown area which is quite small but very attractive ...
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada chamster... was the second day of a model boat builders show. The show was interesting - lots of different models - but I found one, in a bottle, that I did not expect! After the museum, we drove over the bridge to Dartmouth, around and through Dartmouth city centre then up the east side of Bedford Basin, across the top, and down the west side back to the hotel. Tomorrow we head for the south shore of the Bay of Fundy through Windsor, Wolfville and onto Digby through the Annapolis Valley.

Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada riverrunner... going on that you could feel pretty well catered for here as a resident. Even though most people now visit the malls located out of the city centre the street still held a lot of interest with quirky boutiques and a high ratio of bookshops. Down past the University to the old warehouse district (now a redeveloped pedestrian mall full of high priced crafts and products of interest to tourists). The area had a real sense of history about it even ...
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada cheli... for Canada. Man, that's rude. We're allowed up to $300 of goods purchased and I thought I was way over but I started adding things up and I had trouble reaching $200! Hope I didn't forget anything. Moreover, I hope I get my bag!
So, I gotta get my bag, get to Dorval, go to Tom's house to get my house key (hope his Mom's home at least) and then have fun ...
