One of the important things about choosing the emplacement at the campsite is how near the toilets are from your pitch. Our toilets and showers are about 15 yards away. Pretty close! So this morning I was lying in bed listening to Today holding tight so as not to disturb Sue. Couldn't wait any more and dashed out of the tent only to find that the toilets were closed for cleaning. I cycle the 2 miles back down the road to McDonalds, to use their Wifi to do my essential banking transaction.

When I get back, I fiddle around some more with the Orange SIM card, suddenly, it works, problem is, I do not know what I did to make it work!

Turns out, that was a false alarm, still not working!

... blog, however failed to upload pictures.. After that we did a drive by of the cathedral in Chartres, which was up on a hill. We didn't stop as it seemed impossible to park, and it was getting time to find a place to stay for the night. Kate found a lovely place in Nogent-le-Roi where we enjoyed the luxury of free electric and water, with a nice view of a field with a duck pond and it ...
