... taking to get to Paris as we had left Poitiers early in the am and did not get to Paris until mid afternoon. We past a few castles and lots of crops, future croissants and baguettes! In the end there was a bit of chanting and clapping of "Paris" (clap, clap, clap) coming from the back if the bus, and you don't have to be Einstein to know who instigated that!

... trip there was uneventful, except for the moment when I brought the car to a halt somewhere in the middle of some farmland, jumped into a wheat field by the side of the road and grabbed a couple of handfuls of wheat for the kids. So we left there for Orleans (pronounced oh-lee-ons). Wow. This place was a surprise. It's so lovely. And clean. And the cathedral here is off the chart. We got Orleans late-ish but went for a bit of a stroll to find dinner. That's when we stumbled across the cathedral. Normally it would be closed at that time but there was a military orchestra concert on. So for 5 euro we got to hear beautiful music in the most beautiful location. Scored!!!!

She wants to be outdoors enjoying the French countryside rather than indoors looking at tourist attractions so it all got to be a bit much and she got a bit grumpy with life for a while and is keen to move on to warmer climes so we didn't put the ...

(Ruby)- Today was very fun, we went to Chateau Chambord which had a lot of stairs. It was so tall and they are fixing the roof. We watched a film about how they built it. They started making it 500 years ago. The Kings and Queens lived in there and they didn't share all their money. Lots of people were poor and they had a revolution. After the revolution there were no Kings and Queens in France. There were lots of bugs in ...
