We took a 5 hour ferry ride to Rhodes. Rhodes is the largest island in the Dodecanese, in both land size and population. When we arrived in Rhodes it was very hot, and we had to walk Nanny and Poppy to their hotel which was located in the Medieval Old Town of the city. The old town has been declared a World Heritage Site which means they can never make any changes or renovations to it.

We thought that we could rent a car or scooter on every island as a cheaper method seeing the sites. We quickly saw that the local rental companies were exploiting this opinion and charging an absorbent amount for their vehicles!
