Our hosts were wonderful and took us through the benefits and shortcomings of operating in Brazil and at the end of our appointment, were generous enough to take us to the roof of the building where we saw the endless city of Sao Paolo from one of its taller buildings.

... on the bus. A beautiful, secluded beach with shallow calm water...I waded out about 200m and was still able to stand up. We enjoyed a perfect day followed by a falafel dinner at Istanbul, a Turkish cafe near the hostel.

... less of a foreigner, on a nutshell ! What a relief ! I even found smoked salmon ! (frozen but still !).

Something I must get used to (that probably exists in Portugal too...) is the dried "bacalhau" area. The smell is... how to say... strong ! Thank god I know what it tastes like when cooked (awesome !).

I reached the wine area and had a shock. Do you know how much a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne costs in Brazil ?? 100 USD !!! Now you DO know what to buy ...

... with some nice people in the hostel watching the El Classico match between Real Madrid and Barcelona. The next day we bumped into a couple from the UK which we had seen in Lencois, small world. We were told by some people to go down Avenida Paulista (more skyscrapers) then to Parque do Ipiraperera, a massive park which was so big it had two museums in the center of it. Now waiting for our overnight bus to Foz du Iguazu.
