    ... everything just flashed by! Still lovely though.

    Made all our connections, with an hour break in Tours, so we went out for a short walk. From what we did see, the best place was the railway station, which was very ornate.

    Back to Bayeux and making dinner, even though I wondered if I had forgotten how to cook (steak, vegetables and salad!) then off to bed!

    ... Chambord chateaux I was amazed with the size, architecture and to think this was built in the 1500s as a hunting lodge. I found it mind boggling. As the chateaux did not have any of the original furniture and we would be visiting a chateaux each day, I didn't do the visitor tour inside. I wandered the gardens with others and marvelled at the size. During the summer months there is also a market set up in the grounds along with various food stalls. I do like ...

I became rather flighty after this so decided not to venture too far away from shops where I could duck in if I felt concerned.     ... short block at that. When I entered the foyer I could tell this was going to be interesting - 1950s decor and look. The receptionist was extremely helpful and assisted me with where to catch the train on Sunday, pointing out local attractions and what time breakfast was.     ... once had to stop a Japanese couple posting their cards on a doggy poo bin in Hyde Park ) to the pockets of American tourists on their. Vin yard tours saying things like " what great place to build a castle ( chateaux) it is right next to the train station !!!!! If there is one thing I have learned about all this al fresco BBQ and eating is that if you want to hack off your neighbour fry fish ... I bloody hate that but that's just my taste - ...
