... as we checked out the town and the chateau. We also found the place where Leondardo Da Vinci had lived for a while, but it was unimpressive. The next leg wound thru farmlands, vineyards and gorgeous villages. No sooner had we left one village, than we were heading into the next. We had lunch beside the river, just as it started to rain. By the time we got our coats on, and our waterproof covers for our panniers, it had stopped. The sky still looked ominous, and sure ...

... History (for anyone considering it, don't bother). I was in and out having looked at everything within 25 minutes! The set up was aimed more at children with little interactive games and display and surprisingly (not) it was all in French which made it even less appealing.

The views around Blois and the Loire River are beautiful and I imagine even more so when its not raining!

The next stop on my adventure is Porto, Portugal.

... and drive in early in the morning. We will stay one night and spend two days sight seeing before heading to Disneyland.
    Tess is happier.

Then we cross the border into France. There is a road block and French soldiers carrying machine guns and one with road spikes in hand stopping all the cars. One approached our car looked inside the drivers window and then ushered us on.
We are all glad Clint is clean shaven.
