A more relaxed start today as we left Orleans about 10am for Chateau de Chambord. This chateau is huge compared to others like Chenonceau. The buildings are located on a massive estate of 5440ha that is surrounded by a national park. There are 426 rooms, 282 fireplaces and 77 staircases. Took a leisurely hour and a half to strike camp today. It is getting quite easy. On our way by 9 am heading towards the Loire. Got flashed by a static radar camera en route. Don't think that I was speeding but I suppose I must have been. I wonder how or if I will get a summons? Stopped and had lunch near Poitiers. Chicken cassoulet followed by Tarte ...
