Day out with Steve

A travel blog entry by leemclennan on Apr 11, 2015

Back to the bakery and their miserable staff for breakfast! Steve picked me up at 10 and we had a big drive around Vung Tao, out into the countryside and to a fishing village, then to get some lunch (rolls with deep friend fish) and went to a place where you can have a drink and lie in a hammock. We visited all the significant buildings with the coach jostling hundreds of motor scooters (very few cars which are expensive). We educated the "PT" on an appropriate therapy plan for the kiddo. It's exciting to know that he will now be able to see his ...

We went through one of the top tunnels for about 30m, bending over but I eventually crawled (easier) the last half of the way. In some parts you can only get through on your stomach! It was quite amazing – there was approximately 150km of tunnels dug in the section we were in.

Then we went to a river location for lunch, which was very good and proceeded back to our ship after another 2.5 hour drive. It was a very interesting ...
