... for your life. Also, there is no system for crossing the street as a pedestrian. You basically start walking and they swerve around you. I tried to skype some people, but seeing how it was noon here and midnight on a Friday night back home it was hard to reach people. We got packed like sardines in the shuttle to the airport. Literally, there was a guy in the shuttle from Texas and he had a Vietnamese woman on his lap for most of the ride. It was ridiculous. That night I went out ...

We ended up chatting to one of the owners who, it turns out, displayed some of her art in London!

3. Museum of Ho Chi Minh City - this was another really interesting museum as it talked about, not only the war, but also their history before the war. That was also the first place that I'd seen the photo of the monk who set himself on fire in protest to Diem's regime back in 1963 ...

I was wearing a Tintin shirt, and he gave me a Tintin haircut! ****ing awesome! I'm stoked. Off to buy a yellow overcoat and a small white dog tomorrow. The dog may come in a take away container but I will still take it for walks, until I get hungry. Off to work with the John Merricks tomorrow, so will probly be a few days between updates. Take it easy fo-sheezy.
Notre Dame Cathedral- We just checked the outside of this building out... there was an adorable bride and groom doing all kinds of fun poses outside the church as we passed by. Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam triss68... modernist building. Once the stronghold of the South Vietnamese government, it is preserved almost as it was when it fell in 1975. Although imposing from the outside, it is surprisingly light and airy inside, thanks to the glazed facades on each side and some clever concrete sun foils and natural ventilation. The building is still in use today, but it is a very eerie walking around the place.
I am a creature of habit!). It was a small restaurant down one of the many alleys with pink walls and orange chairs... or was it orange walls and pink chairs... well, you get the idea anyway. My favorite dish was the fried tofu with veggies and an orange shake (without yogurt)... SO good! It's a cute place and the ...
