Fantastic breakfast - but so early! As we are away on our travels to the Mekong Delta by 0700 - ahhhhhhh!!!!! First stop the Chi Chi Tunnels which was one of the main reasons for coming to the south and it didn't disappoint. We have a fab car at last! So much space - luxury! Stopped on way to Chi Chi at rubber plantations. Chi Chi was amazing - …
GOOD MORNING VIETNAM!! Yea, well that phrase has not been overused since we got here. (and yes that is sarcasm). But so far, Vietnam has been great. The first day here, I went shopping. And surprisingly did not buy all that much, just some DVDs, a pair of flip flops and a hat. Oh, and we also bought some fabric, went to a tailor, and designed some …
Day 3 – 28/6/10 - Monday
We make an early start and visit the popular floating markets before hitting the bikes for a quite ride along the banks of the Mekong delta
This is a beautiful ride along quiet roads and down a maze of small tracks along canals and through tiny villages where we will pass through farming communities …
It was time to leave Saigon. Last night was a very late night. No details as to what I did. But it was a very enjoyable evening with a lovely Vietnamese lady. This morning came way too fast. Up before 6am to have breakfast and then wait for the tour bus at 7h30. Tour bus came at 8, then we ended back up at the tour company offices to exchange …
An early start to the day, set off from Ho Chi Minh City at 8.30 for a 2 hour drive to My Tho to visit one of the islands in the Mekong Delta. We visited Unicorn Island, which had a coconut candy factory in some of the huts. We walked around tried honey tea and banana wine the equivalent to whiskey. Wasn't sure about the snake and scorpion wine. A …

Good hotel, adequate service, food at the comp breakfast buffet is okay. Rooms are quite spacious and good water flow/pressure in the shower, which to me is very important. Hot water doesn't take too long at all to start flowing which is nice.
Would be nice however, if they allowed you to have 2 keys. One to leave in the room (since it's required to operate the power supply to room) so you can leave the A/C running. Instead of coming back after a long day in the intense heat & humidity, to a warm room!
Overall, about a rating of 8/10 I'd say.
