... of English. We drove for about a minuet before the car stopped and we all got out. I had no idea what was going on so I just followed everyone to a small boat which we all boarded. Kilian explained that the bridge was under construction so for the moment we had to go by sea to the house. Today was a bit of a spare day, due to Nara being a shorter trip than planned, so I decided to head to Okayama which is on the route towards my next hostels destination of Hiroshima. Similarly to Himeji, Okayama has a castle and a famous garden(one of the top 3 in all of Japan) so I spent the late morning and early afternoon pottering around these sights. For a change, this was a bit a different kind of hostel. It's very Japanese style, you sleep on tatami, breakfast is miso soup and rice. Guests are here from Holland, England, Australia and Japan.

I decided actually to stay here an extra day, it's great to be with a bunch of people, where you feel so welcome!

... hanging on a hanger. There wasn't a new one so the lady took it off the hanger. There was a slight stain on the back collar so she said that she could lower the price. It went from 12,800 yen down to 5800 yen. As Lynne stood there, she dropped the price down to 4800 yen or about AUD$53. The Japanese don't bargain at all so it was unusual and considering Lynne had not said a word.
