... 8230; ghabaraaye!" “Tum toh thahere pardesi… saath kya nibhayoge!”)) Ha!

It turned out that we had now walked for about four hours and there was still no sign of the base village. Now, we were tired and bored of this plain walking. Throughout this journey, we have been misguided by people. Meanwhile, another passer-by told us that we were now only half-an-hour away from the hike. Our tired legs begged for authenticity of information but our minds ...

    Lonavala and Crawford Market

A travel blog entry by liammobsby on May 27, 2014

So last week in a single day 1) A client asked how my bowel movements were ('textbook, thanks') 2) I was asked by the security guard on my way out how much my salary was, how much rent I paid and how much cash I had on me; and 3) a beggar jumped into the taxi next to me while I was leaving and the driver just drove on as he continued with some close-quarters begging. With growing commercialization of the natural beauty places like Matheran, a new trend of agri tourism is becoming popular amongst the old style village lovers. I took a first hand experience of such "real farm" agri tourism with my family in Dec 13. It was Mulshi Agri Tourism centre in village Ambadwet near Pirangut in Pune district only 15km from Chandani Chowk. We spent an evening, a night and a wonderful morning in this perfect combination of ...

Well WOW is what I have to say about the Ellora caves! Narayan and I were up and on my first road trip bright and early Fri morning. It was about a 4 hour drive from Pune with the Indian roads and traffic. Our driver was a real pro and drove without hesitation or mishap through the traffic consisting of 2 wheelers, 3 wheelers, trucks, ox carts, buses, pilgrims, a herd of goats, and the odd pedestrian taking their life in their hands by crossing the highway. There were some ...
