... on our bikes. After we got lost, we found a lady at the local Target store who directed us to the street where we could find the dealership. Elizabeth got her bike checked and discovered she would not be able to order a tire until Monday. As we prepared to leave, Lynne's bike would not start. She rolled the bike into the shop and the mechanic actually removed the battery. Upon observation, he said, it was visibly expanded out ...
... our road trip following our planned route based around places that feature or are mentioned in True Blood! Maybe we will meet a vampire or two! Our 1st main stop was not a True Blood location however but Nottoway Plantation, which we reached along the i10 listening to classic American road-trip songs which we had pre-downloaded on Spotify. Sherry read her book on a float in the water, Debby laid on her lawn chair in the sun, and I went for a long walk exploring the campground. We had grilled pork chops (not squirrel) for dinner, with wild rice, and French cut green beans with sautéed onions and mushrooms. The bathhouse showers are nasty here (thank God for shower shoes) and tonight was ...
