        ... time in the little bay was going ashore to stroll around the town. We were absolutely amazed to find the most beautiful little homes in the small village – decorated with colorful tiles and beveled glass windows. As has been our experience so far, the local villagers were incredibly friendly and welcoming – and a fisherman that had visited our boat to sell us crabs (delicious!) even offered Ginette and I (yes, both of us!) a ride on his motorcycle up to the next village. ...

        ... very easy to say/write, but much more difficult to practice, particularly in the U.S. where we sometimes regard those with other faith as not to be trusted right away, with thoughts of 9/11 creeping in and of news that we hear about a half world away. It is sad that so few actions, by even fewer people have made us mistrust a people who by and large are good.

        ... the boat ride fun. We got to our first snorkel spot called Manta Sandy a place where only Manta rays roam. The water here was particularly deep and beautifully blue but there was no coral. Unfortunately we didn't see any Mantas and so after a while headed on the boat to an island to have a coffee break. After our coffee and doughnut we headed back to Manta Sandy. This time we were fortunate to see and swim with one manta for about 15minutes. We were really lucky to see one as it was ...
