In some places they have split the path with just peds on one side so it did make the long walk easier. I have to say Venice Beach came as a surprise. There was a sort of Rasta air about the place. Lots of arty stalls ,buskers, a big contrast from sophisticated Santa Monica . It made a lovely stroll.
