From the air LA is freakin massive. Like huge, it goes on for miles and it looks hot and dirty. Ronnie and I grabbed a cab to take us to the hotel. We were staying Sunset Boulevard. For entrees, we ordered a variety of things, including beef sliders, a ...

We enjoyed the peace and quiet of downtown on a public holiday Monday. We checked out Frank Gehry's Walt Disney Concert ...

... is risky as it's just like you see in the films, cyclists, joggers, skateborders and pedestrians all using the same boardwalk. In some places they have split the path with just peds on one side so it did make the long walk easier. I have to say Venice Beach came as a surprise. There was a sort of Rasta air about the place. Lots of arty stalls ,buskers, a big contrast from sophisticated Santa Monica . It made a lovely stroll.
