Last night's meal was lovely! Finally ordered couscous, and it was delicious! I nearly finished the huge portion (maybe because I did 50 lengths of the pool yesterday). ... I opted to just stay in the rocks in the sun. It looked like a couple of the shacks there were accommodation so some people must have been staying out there.
After a while we were back on the road back towards the coast. The N1 road follows the Atlantic coast and the scenery is quite stunning, especially the contrast between the dusty brown rocks and sand dunes compared with the deep blue of the Atlantic ...
... quite a bit. Afterwards we headed back towards the coast and to the Souss Massa National Park. It extends along the banks of the Wadi Massa (river). It was quite surreal seeing the extreme green of the riverbanks and surrounding palm groves compared to the arid desert. In winter there are a lot of birds who migrate here including flamingos. ... sea and inflated an airplane life jacket. We're having to check out at 11 am tomorrow and our taxi doesn't leave until 5:45 so we'll have to sort something out. Planning to stop off in A&E on the way home to get Sarah's shoulder checked out. Hopefully it's quiet at 4am on a Friday ...
Dan and I hit the dirt roads south of Agadir today and had a great time pretending we were in the Dakar rally. The carts were limited but we still hit ~30 mph across the countryside. (and some of that wasn't sideways). Wish they could have gone faster though. Fishing tomorrow. Really trying to pack it in now as we leave Thursday ...
