        ... that is ongoing as I write this on the way to the Cambodian border. Someone at the bank told us that if I left the card in the machine, it would automatically be eaten up and stored. I had hoped it would be recovered, but when the bank sent someone to the machine to look, there was only one card there, not mine. Then another official at the bank told me the machine doesn't eat your card, it just leaves it there. Uh-oh. Maybe it's been stolen, I thought.

        ... it was 110 rupees. Knowing the beer cost 60 I asked how that was possible and he claimed a 'bed charge'. When I had sat down that was never mentioned and he was happy to help me arrange the umbrella for shade. However at this point I was by myself, when I asked for the bill it seemed I had upset him by refusing a massage and Alex had joined me. It's also worth noting we had sat on many other sun beds with food and/or drink and never had anywhere claimed a bed charge. ...

        The trip to get to the falls was a grand adventure in itself. In days ago, one was able to drive to a point by your self (if you had a 4x4) and park. Obtain your pass at the gate and soldier on to enjoy the trek to the falls. After getting stuck in the river, reaching the gate, we were told we could not go beyond this point.
