... and take them the next day.

We sat and chatted to the boys while they were preparing lunch - rice and beans. This is a long winded process that took about 2 hours. They are simply left to their own devices to get on with cooking and do everything from preapring the charocal to cook on, to getting the water from the well, to the actual cooking. ... and receive assistance to pay for books, uniforms and even food. My group traveled to Degoretti which is one of the poorest slums and we were able to travel with their social worker and make house visits all day. Traveling on foot, we left around 10:00 am and visited with several families. Having the chance to literally walk through the slums all day was amazing. ... before we leave. We are really working to "cut them off" We don't want them in their rooms on Facebook when they should be out with their community. They seriously are acting like it's the end of the world to be unconnected. They rather have superficial relationships over the computer than living REAL relationships in front of them. Unfortunately, this seems to be becoming the norm.

Oy Vey. I love a good Adventure :)
