My group traveled to Degoretti which is one of the poorest slums and we were able to travel with their social worker and make house visits all day. Traveling on foot, we left around 10:00 am and visited with several families. Having the chance to literally walk through the slums all day was amazing. That night we took the overnight bus to Mombasa on what has to have been the best bus we have been on in Africa. It started off well when we secured our 1st class seats which were considerably bigger and got even better when we were handed juice and snacks. It did however get even more ridiculous when we discovered the bus had onboard WiFi. Deepest Darkest Africa indeed.

Michele made an amazing butternut squash soup for dinner, and then we went to Petty Blues to say goodbye to Nikki. She is off on holiday to Tanzania and most of the group won't see her before we leave. Got a little messy for some of us, but it was nice to have a proper drink for once, something I have been missing.
