We set off and within minutes felt like we were cycling through a remote jungle. The dense palm tree and foliage which curved over the unpaved track was occasionally punctuated with a little clearing for a small dwelling which was generally accompanied by a fed up looking cow ...

I don't think we took any photos which is a shame but we were really pleased; it even had a hair dryer which I wasn't expecting and to top it all off we were right next to a mall which meant 1. Quick and easy KFC dinner and 2. Chemist for cold and flu drugs!! I was like a kid in a candy ...

The Perhentians

A travel blog entry by kerrihaysom on Mar 07, 2013

... as i was without my bestest dive buddy; but the visibility was 5 meters - Mabul was 18! Usually it is much better but due to the season only just starting and all the conditions that come with that it inevitably effects the ocean too.

The Perhentians are definitely worth a visit but once the season is up and running, not only to ensure a safe arrival but so you can really appreciate your ...
