... I imagine the taxi had already made his fair on the way in to Kuala Besut and had to head back home anyways. The taxis in Malaysia are often old Mercedes..... pretty classy in a funny kind of way. Our taxi driver also had a guest house in Kota Bahru that he took us to... and it was cheap and clean so we stayed! Kota Bahru is the capital of the province of Kelantan... and somewhat cultural. The are best known for there kites.... which we saw many of in the Bazaar and they are very nice ...

Turen fra Cameron til kaien hvor båten til Perhentian gikk fra tok 7 timer i en overfyllt minibuss. Videre derfra er det ca 2 mil med båt ut til øya. Båten var at type mini-speesboat, og kapteinen sørga for at vi var kliss våte og det samme var bagasjen...nice... Vi hadde fått et tips i Cameron at Long Beach var en fin plass å bo.
