    ... and proceeded to show me pictures of various locomotives he'd seen earlier in the day in an Estonian Railway Museum. Well, it beats etchings... We quickly got into specialist linguistic territory where my German language skills dried up altogether, which I'm sure saved me from an evening of more photos of interesting Soviet era trains.

    ... friends of hers were going to a more traditional Līgo party, and since most of our volunteer group hadn't been to one yet, she thought it would be cool to take us (us being Vale, Anna, Luis, Antonio and Marie). So she stuffed everybody into her Fiat Panda (or equivalent) and Valentina and I got the best spot: on a soft mattress under a load of blankets and a 60-liter bag full of popcorn in the back of a van.
