... We had to get on the "A" blue line and then change into the "E" blue line. However a number of the systems were down due to the snow so we redirected ourselves on the subway system catching the red line. Now knowing that half the systems were down we needed to make alternative arrangements. A 40 minute trip ended up taking us 2 hours plus and about 4-5 train swop's. ... a larger and more enterprising city. Its about a half hour drive from Chichen Itza so if staying in more of a city environment is your style then this is a good option for a city stay.
Finally we hit the Riviera coastline. Wow. Stunning stunning blue water. Its everything I imagined it to be and more. I'm so excited to be on the coast again. I've missed the ocean so much!

What we learnt
LAX is a massive **** hole of an airport.
Sunscreen is ridiculously expensive here - we were in a hurry and accidentally paid around $30 AUD for a spray-on sunscreen, which is pretty much gone after two days. One of the worst value for money purchases of my life!

... but they only opened at 7:30am (imagine a coffee shop opening so late, oh well) which was about an hour after I arrived. I continued and stopped by an Oxo, essentially a Mexican 7/11. They had these coffee concoctions which tasted more like very sweet cough medicine than coffee. Oh well. It was time to get home.
