... br> This town was obviously a holiday town for the ordinary Italian families, and was very like Blackpool. Unfortunately most of the shops were shut as we arrived in the siesta time. Sicily really adheres to this unless it is somewhere like Taormina.

Met at 2.00 pm to be taken back to our hotel. As we have to pack and get ready to go to Palermo ...

The next stop on our itinerary was the medieval town of Erice. Perched 750 metres above sea level atop Mount Erice, the views were supposedly spectacular with a fascinating history to boot. Over sixty, ...

... but certainly not small! We find our chosen marina, well tucked in away from the winds and squeeze ourselves in between 2 boats in a quiet corner so nice and safe when it blows tonight. A quick walk around the town and we are pleasantly surprised at how clean and smart it looks compared to Palamero so all is not lost for Sicily. Photos to show! Here for 3 days as fronts pass over then hope to head for ...
