      Paradise diving amongst poverty

      ... recruited and then trained up, one of them couldn't even swim before starting the qualification and of course they have all learnt the course in English, which is their second language. Pretty impressive, I reckon. Anyway, the snorkel test involved; being blindfolded in a Scuba mask, then spun around 10 times before walking across a balance beam, doing the Limbo at the other end followed by 10 lunges, then 'swimming' under 3 tables before simulating a controlled emergency ...

      ... type of food under the sun. Didn't do much though as it was too nice to chill in the exec lounge with a drink and eat as much as you like... First glass (bottle?) of red in 2 weeks! Emma made the mistake of letting me go shopping on my own... Quicksilver shop, local price and 50% sale?? I will have everything please! :D Then even more of a treat by going to the local Shangri-La (another upgrade!).. ...

      Last days of diving

      After the last couple of days diving we had been blessed with the amount of cool stuff we had seen and we really didn't expect things to get any better, so for us we were happy going wherever for the last two days. We went out to Kapalai for a dive, Sipadan Barrier Reef for a couple of dives and the rest we stayed around the Mabul area. I won't go into details on each dive as I think I have said enough ...

      We hatched a plot yesterday to find a way of staying at shangri la for the rest of our loves but this morning it seemed that plans would have to wait as we prepared to return to our normal mundane lives in the uk. I can honesty sat that I have never stayed anywhere like Rasa Ria before. Even the lavatory attendants say good morning. compare this with your average visit to the facilities at a resort site in Britain where fag ash lil is playing ...

      ... was Chinese culture to have all the food on the spinner thing and each person have a piece at a time. I think she was horrified when Lynda and I showed her the English culture of whacking as much on our plate as we wanted and bollocks to everybody else. Grub was nice though. Canopy walk was a good idea but a bit restrictive, don't run, no swaying etc etc. Views were excellent and I had to smile when we saw this well fat Korean ...
