Have moved to the coastline we are seeing a very different Turkey a lot more tour groups with huge crowds everywhere. Enjoying the coastal towns Kas is a great little place where I could spent more time. Spending the day on a boat is so relaxing. less than a week left in Turkey then heading to Paris. Have enjoyed seeing different parts of this great country. Can't wait to come back one ...

... a slight bit of snow on the top. The weather was perfect. The breakfast was traditional Turkish, so there were tomatoes, cucumber, and olives. Gözleme was also served. They roll out dough into thin pieces then place cheese and parsley or other ingredients on top before folding to over and placing it on a griddle. My personal favourite was the kaymak (kind of like butter) ...

We arose early to make the quick drive down to the beach to see the ruins of the old city Olympos. It was a short stroll along a path and then we reached a stream. I had my thongs on luckily and easily waded through - when i got to the other side my feet were burning because the water was so cold! owwww.. The ruins are hidden away in thick scrub with trees and vines and small streams of water meandering through. ...

We said farewell to Cirali and headed north-west around the coast and everyone at Hotel Canada, staff and guests came out to say goodbye! This last part of our road journey in Turkey can be quite relaxed - we could get to Bodrum in just a day if needed, but we have 4 days to do it in, so today we aim for a small fishing village about 100kms away, called Ucigiz, but with some side trips to see some other places on the way.
