... for us to learn to live aboard the boat at anchor, being self sufficient without the marina shore facilities. Actually, G is very excited about the whole experience; so much so that she wants to sail to Greece immediately; I have never seen her so happy. Being from a village in Philippines she is used to doing things manually, so managing the tasks like cooking, washing, showering, etc. with limited facilities is no problem to her.

... was hard enough over the very uneven rocky path. (Not much in the way of a decent photo though!) Today we wandered through the ruins of of many sites that go by the name! It was fabulous, close to the beach and a stream...the ruins were scattered through thick forest and in many places overgrown. Cirali is a small coastal town, but it has it's fair share of pensions, hotels and cafes. Lots of families wandering about...a great place to relax for a few ...

... a slight bit of snow on the top. The weather was perfect. The breakfast was traditional Turkish, so there were tomatoes, cucumber, and olives. Gözleme was also served. They roll out dough into thin pieces then place cheese and parsley or other ingredients on top before folding to over and placing it on a griddle. My personal favourite was the kaymak (kind of like butter) ...

In Uçagiz you can find a boat easily, either going only to Simena (20/30 Turkish lira - 2008 price -) or to visit the whole Kekova archipelago. It is a 4-hour boat trip going to the Tersane cove, passing above the ruins of an ancient underwater city, going to Simena to visit the village, the castle and the lycian tombs, and going on to Gokkaya ...

... socialised. It was a pretty cosy fit for 14 people - you couldn't really turn over but it did keep us nice and snug and warm...! We turned off the lights and snuggled up together - the snoring started not long after and it took me a while to get to sleep - couldn't be bothered getting up and walking on everyone to get my earplugs from the top deck, plus it was too cold to hop out of the sleeping sheet and the blankets ...
