    ... there were a lot in the free area. The most picturesque was the Karamon Gate. I also walked a bit on the hillside, but I was not so enthusiastic and didn't explore much.

    Then we headed to Ichijyo Waterfall. It was a small waterfall and it was possible to skip, but I thought my mum may have liked it and so stopped by. Fortunately, we were able to drive close to the waterfall and my mum easily walked up to the waterfall. It was comfortable ...

    ... Tea Ceremony, and i was the only one in our group to dress in a kimono. I wanted to experience more, and be more immersed in the culture.

    Oh! And the toilets! Squatting over the toilets was a blast of course, but the weirdest part was the washroom at a restaurant (?). I had to walk into the men's washroom, past men peeing in urinals, to get to the women's washroom. Now how bizarre is that?

    ... into the head! Juraj went upstairs, I could not be bothered, looked like too much hard work :-)

    The other thing we did on the way is stop at some nice rock and cliff formations in Tojnbo and we did some exploring there.

    In Tsuruga we did not do anything apart from find the beach and a car park (with a public toilet of course) to stay for the night.

    ... and the remarkable scarcity of Japanese cops, we made it back down the lighthouse without incident.
    You may well have guessed our final impulsive, juvenile adventure for the day. After a scholarly and thorough inspection of depth, temperature, condition, and tide, we hurled ourselves into the ocean.

    ... soba restaurant in the department store that had a special lunch set with a bit of crab which turned out to be pretty good. We didn't have much time and we missed going to the famous temple that was established in 1244.
