We boarded the plane super early at Heathrow only to be sat on the runway for an hour and a half, this would have meant incredible amounts of boredom had the guy next to me not been so chatty. He introduced himself as Kim from Grimsby and he turned out to be a really nice guy who is travelling the world after spending his life working in the oil industry. Alright for some! It is incredibly ironic how someone who’s spent their career destroying the planet wants to travel ...

Dinner was at the Hanoi Restaurant, with an interesting variety of Vietnamese foods listed on the menu. Carol chose a chicken salad with thin noodles with a light vinegar dressing. Heather chose a rice and chicken dish with ginger sauce. We ate inside tonight with 6 seated at the table representing the countries of Greece, Egypt, USA and Canada!
Tomorrow we 'hit the sand ...
