The best thing about the family run guest house where we are staying is that they don't particularly care about early risers. Breakfast didn't begin until 7:30am which meant a sleep in for us! In addition, we are staying in Werfen for two nights so we didn't need to pack our bags and load the car before hitting the road this morning. First stop on the itinerary this morning were the Eis Riesen Welt ice cave a short 20 minute drive from our hotel. This is ...

... hour away, we can try to come back and try again. On the descent, the rain started lightly to begin with. Some crazy cyclists were descending faster than cars and motor bikes could hope to achieve. By the time we hit the base, it was pouring down with rain. 10 minutes later the setting sun had made its final appearance for the night. Back on the mainland, we decided it was so nice that we would stay for dinner. There was a

It was the perfect way to end the day and magical to see the mountains fade in the falling light and turn into silhouettes. We didn’t have long to drive into the mountains to our hotel called Prinzregent in Marquartstein.

... move so I could take a picture of it (because, let's be honest, I'm not going to be back there anytime soon), and they of course, did not understand. The dad thought I was asking him to take my picture in front of it, and I said "Nein" (no), and I think he finally got the picture. Once again, lost in translation. The dad finally moved off the bridge, but the mother and two daughters did not. I was so frustrated! Here you have all these people trying to ...

The train ride from Vienna was breathtaking as we traveled through a gorgeous valley surrounded by striking mountains. Zell Am See is a beautiful town on a lake in the valley. We were so happy to see such gorgeous mountains and get out of the city even for just a day. We spent our entire time in awe of Mother ...
