    ... so I should teach them English. Then as soon as we got to English they refused to cooperate as well. I wasn't best pleased and had to get my teacher voice out to keep them on track!

    Although it has been challenging, it has also been really rewarding. I hope that when the children do their exams next week they all show improvement! That is my challenge for next week, get them to sit the tests without cheating, this is not going to be easy!

    ... rice (yoghurt mixed into rice), and a pickled mini-mango on the side. it was not spicy, apart from the mango which was intensely sweet and sour, but delicately flavourful and intensely enjoyable.

    when i left, amid my profuse thanks and wonderful-to-meet-you's, she said that she doesn't like to meet many people because they do not understand her, but that i am always welcome in her house, and to please come back as soon and often as i like.
