... lacquer wares and embroidery, so it also enjoys high reputation as a tourism city from home and abroad. The Chinese refer to spring as "yan hua san yue"(march in blossom and mist) according to their lunar calender. They think spring in Yangzhou is full of blossom and shrouded in light mist, which makes the city resemble some mysterious veiled beauty ...
Yangzhou, China taozi... t get a very good write-up in the guidebooks but we thought it was stunning and really friendly in a less leery way than Suzhou. The main attraction is the Slender West Lake which is a pretty park. Ge Garden was so lovely - almost as nice as Suzhou's Master of the Garden of Nets!

Yangzhou, China laurenzo... Ru asked me if He was a She or She was a He. I thought it best not to give an answer and simply said 'whatever makes He/She happy I am happy to treat Him/Her as such.' It was obvious that He wanted to be a She as He had on a mini skirt, high heels, a blouse with sweet bugger all beneath in the way of a She and make up. So that was the beginning of my day with the Lady Boy Policeman. After such a friendly and civilized comment from me Lady boy ...
Zhenjiang, China eddakath... and I got along very well from the beginning and we were soon singing English songs that he had on his mobile phone. The food was amazing. I can't believe what most Chinese can wok up if you give them ten minutes. She wokked up about eight different dishes that included fish, vegies, pork and other assorted innards and outards! After a few hours of party it was time for everyone to go home. Cheng ...
Zhenjiang, China eddakathHey Hey and a Big G'Day toya
Mate, what a wonderful day today was!
After my morning ElcheapO coffee I headed out into the blistering heat and made my through the crowded streets towards Jiao Shan (mountain). It was so strange as when I went to find a table of course there were none free. Well actually there were plenty but of course two people always seem to use the four seats and the second table in hope that no ...
... rooms, restaurants, wedding rooms etc. It really is surprising the hotels that will come way down in price! After dropping my pack off I then headed up Jiefang Lu towards Chang Jiang (or the Yangzi River). I then headed to Beigushan Gongyuan that houses Ganlu Si (temple). It only took ten minutes to walk there and I spotted many bus number fours so I guess they are still the main bus to take to that part of town. Though bus number four still ...
Zhenjiang, China eddakath... had to get in on the action and buy a pot of her own), we sat drank tea and "talked". It was a really wonderful experience, and definitely worth the effort. Later we learned that the artist who made our pots was well known, when someone approached us after seeing our bags from Yixing. He didn't speak english but we were able to understand that he wanted to see the certificate of authenticity. When we showed him, he smiled and said some things ...
