... of a tribal chief, through circumcision in his teens, to studying law, joining the ANC, arrest and imprisonment for treason through to becoming president of South Africa. There were some amazing pictures of him in Robben Island in 1977 - just the dignity of the man and his calm persona shone through - he did not look like a man in prison but just one biding his time before greater things.

As always before we knew it we were back in the hotel faffing around with the internet.
