... a walk that saw us under waterfalls,
drenched shoes and going for four hours … we got lost. To go back where we
should’ve gone would’ve put us at risk of sunset and dark so we opted to
return, not without still getting to witness some amazing views of the sea and
lions head from the side of the Mountain. So the great natural table top still

... island was very interesting, but organisation a little hap hazard. Nelson Mandela's cell was barely 6 ft square with a bucket and a 1 inch thick mattress to sleep on. A fairly bleak place. Returning to Cape Town we managed to buy Gilbert a replacement cap and a pair of shoes for me, seems I forgot pack a spare pair, trainers getting a bit ...

... the city. Long street backpackers was a totally ok hostel and of course Cat liked the cats that lived there but it wasn’t especially cheap and the rooms weren’t the nicest. In fact hostels in SA have been a lot more expensive than we expected. Of course they’re not as expensive as Australia or NZ but we didn’t expect to be paying 10 quid a night or more each for a basic dorm room. Oh well!

Our move to the new hostel was a master ...
