... here before, there was a sense of familiarity about the place.

There was a quick visit to the tourist information office then a short nip into the Coop grocery and we were in our way again. We had no real targets to hit but James was hoping conditions were suitable for a float down the Rhine on more.

First item of business though was a bit of sustenance. In the market in the town square we picked up some cheese, ...

We returned home with Herr Schnell, said our "auf weidersehens" and parted company.

... Herr Schnell showed us around the apartment and offered to give us a tour of the town tomorrow morning at 10:00. We started to unpack, but when our stomachs started growling, we decided to try to find a place to eat. We walked a few blocks into town center and sat down at an outdoor restaurant attached to a Gastehaus (guesthouse). We couldn't read the all-German menu and no one, guest or staff could speak English. What we ordered turned out to be chicken cordon ...
