DD stayed with Grandma and Grandpa. Drove to Beverly Hills and checked in at Le Meridien. It was nicely appointed and had a cool bathtub (very deep). DH and the baby took a bath; the baby was in heaven. Walked around Beverly Hills a little, did some shopping. Had dinner at a very cool place, La Boheme. It is decorated in a gothic manner. Pete Sampras was at the table next to us. Went home the next day.
Beverly Hills, California, United States kitkatgo You must have dessert at the SLS hotel in Beverly Hills. It is some experience...

... a massive splash that saturated him from head to toe.

The day was a success as James had wanted to go on the Big Thunder Mountain when he was last there 1989 however never got the chance and Nicky has wanted to go since she can remember. Unfortunately we missed a photo with Mickey Mouse as we were a bit embarrassed to queue with very small children.
Los Angeles, California, United States cendrillonAre first attempt to leave did not go overr so well. After we first left off we were about 20 minutes out when we had to turn around and land due to unknown circumstances (we still dont know what happend) and were put up in a hotel for the night. One good thing is i got to go to the electronic daisy carnival with some friends. After much debate on what to do we waited it out and a few days later were able to catch another flight into Beijing.
It proved to be a godsend however, as the Iphone was only a $100 upgrade away.

Story #3: Alex the old man with a wooden cane. O.k. so I have this friend Alex who lives in L.A. He's basically my connection to everything that's happening in West Hollywood aside from being a great friend. Thursday night is Tiger Heat or Tiger Trash depending on your outlook and attitude that night. The plan: meet at Alex's place for a pre- drink, then head out ...
Los Angeles, California, United States kwagssd3... a movie set. It would, however, get pretty old going out to get your mail and having a bunch of tourists gawk at you all the time. We also went on the UCLA campus-pretty neat and right next to Beverly Hills. I tried to talk Will into going there, but je wasn't interested. Then we hit The Grove Mall-fun mall right next to the Farmers Market-and saw a movie-A perefct end to the day! Tomorrow-Santa Monica and Venice Beach So then back to the
Los Angeles, California, United States winterspring... hours in the airport and a few sitting on the runway, then a few back in the airport, we are delayed for a day in LA due to mechanical difficulties. We fly for Sydney tomorrow at 9 pm. We're disappointed, but the airline is putting us up and feeding us, and at this point we just want to sleep. Stay tuned. Mary Ellen
Los Angeles, California, United States nz2008... Bel Air, Rodeo Drive and Sunset Blvd. (all in the same area). I found it interesting to be able to see the proximity of these locations to one another because it gives you a realistic perspective of all of these places when you hear about them on tv and such - now I'll know because I've been there! Same goes for the Los Angeles area in general. Before this trip, I had no idea where anything was in L.A. - and didn't even realize that the county of L ...
Los Angeles, California, United States alisoncole... to show bird-loving me, who will be there in a few months. April 7 we started the day with lunch at a delightful Italian family run lunch place on Santa Monica's boho Main Street, Amelia's, where we had delectable homemade mushroom soup and cappuccino. The coffee cups say "For music, Puccini - For art Bernini - For espresso, Pasquini". After a wander through a lovely bead shop (Ritual Adornment) and little laze at the Novel, it was such a picture perfect day - high sixties, pouring ...
