... ship is GORGEOUS! Christened in 2012 by Italy's 'princess' Sophia Loren and dedicated to her, it is everything she epitomises - elegance, beauty, style and sexiness. The food, both in the buffet and dining rooms is fabulous - this is an Italian cruise line so you'd expect it to be. Also, the staff at mid level and above - right through to the captain - are Italian, a fact that has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated by me :) I meet my dinner ...
After we were finally well away from Miami, we went to get some dinner. We had signed up for anytime dining, which I assumed was in the big dining room at the front of the ship, just like our other cruises. Except that we had no deck plan of the ship, so we only vaguely knew where to go. There were deck plans of each floor at the elevators, and the basics of what was on each floor. They have CVS pharmacy's where you can buy convenience foods, some fruit, alcohol and pharmacy products so we picked up a few items. We found the Mary Brickell village close by with a market it in so ...
3,2,1, Blast off! As the plane speeds along the runway we are off on the start of our epic trip. Our 8 hour flight included a selection of over 50 films and TV episodes, just a few of those we watched included, The Descendants, Mission Impossible 5 & J Edgar, plus a bit of The Office, Simpsons & New Girl. Complementary drinks on the flight plus 1 meal and a snack meant it flew by pretty quick.
