... as Sarah quickly took a photo.
Whilst we were on our 4 hour shopping spree in the Disney stores, Daniel and Michael enjoyed the resort facilities which includes mini golf, foose ball, table tennis and heated pool and spa. Jen took advantage of the laundry facilities for all of us, thanks Jen :). Then we ...
... town. Ian and I reminisced about the trip where we met, while Journey took her afternoon nap. Once she was up, we all headed to the nearest beach. We walked up the shore (how I love walking barefoot in the sand), watched people surf, and played with the toddler. We stayed to watch the sun setting over the ocean - what an amazing view. It was quite windy, so the waves were crashing on the large rocks along the beach and rising up into the air as the sun ...
Laguna Beach, California, United States canadianjulie... day. We ended up getting a cab a short distance back to our hotel from the city centre cause we were so stuffed, so have experienced the yellow LA cabs. He seemed very surprised at that time to get a fare from a young touristy couple. A bit later on, a local told us that downtown after dark is not very safe and also questionable about public transport late at night, but we felt fine and there were lots of cameras in the bus and a friendly bus driver.
Anaheim, California, United States flicandsimon... since 1995, neither of us had experienced this park yet. I'd heard about how it was a good place to skip the crowds of the middle of the day, so I thought it was a good time to be heading over. We first went and saw Muppets 3D, as a fan of the Muppets I thought this show was great, I also enjoyed the room where the preshow is, I took lots of photos of random stuff. This is a really great show, and I'm a bit disappointed ...
Anaheim, California, United States becbennett... we had to queue was to meet Mickey mouse :) Yes.. got my picture taken with Mickey.. and Minnie.. hey.. at least I didn't buy mouse ears. After Disneyland, went to see the ice hockey... Anaheim Ducks (who calls an ICE HOCKEY team ducks?) vs. Nashville Predators (now that's a name). Ducks won - I know that because the score at the end read 3 to 1, and all 10000 people in ...
Anaheim, California, United States irenen42... pay for it". Why even tease myself with this area? Cause it's sooooooooo pretty! We enjoyed our drive and had planned carefully not to hit any L.A. traffic peaks and let me tell you: Someone seriously messed up! Once we entered L.A. around 02:00 p.m. we quickly had to give up the idea of staying on Highway 1. Too many traffic lights. To get to Laguna ...
Laguna Beach, California, United States schlossie... went out to dinner to an upmarket Mexican restaurant with Ash (Zac's sister) and two of her friends: Erin and Leanne (I think, I can't remember her name :/ ) It was quite tasty, but I'm gonna be fat by the time I leave the US. The servings were about the same size as US cars, and everything was smothered in cheese, even dessert. I should probably start packing. George is driving me to Anaheim for the Contiki Tour in his 2001 Porsche 911!
Laguna Beach, California, United States ayanami... how much of an impact this is having on me. So I'm feeling some pressure. One last note: In classic East LA manner, I was awakened at 6am Wednesday to the sounds of a mariachi band playing outside the neighbor's house across the street. Apparently it happens once a year(ish) and was probably for a quincenera or anniversary or something. I lost an hour of sleep for that... but I guess it's a good story. Enjoy the photos from the last picnic of the summer and ...

Los Angeles, California, United States jetset_candyce... getting scared with us was safer than being all alone), around the lower levels of the house. David is not saying how SCARY it was...it was horrible and I have never screamed so much in fright in my WHOLE life! Things would brush on your face and leap out at you even if you were expecting something nasty around the corner, you didn't know what it would be! There was an area with monsters that was roped off. What made me scream even more (and cry a bit too!) was ...
