... rest of the week with the thought that we had the car so it could be anywhere on the island since we weren't dependant on bus routes. As it turned out we ended up in the exact same town we had lunch in the day before! The hotel was actually just a room in an all inclusive resort so on the plus side there was a pool and lots of activities but on the negative side it was pretty smelly and we did have a bit of a cockroach incident*. It's a very scenic climb with only a few clouds to start with however we stop at a mirador to take photos and the cloud just sweeps in obliterating ...
... in a locals bar then take the tram down to Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz has a different feel in the sunshine and it's a pleasant walk along the by the docks before taking the return tram back up to La Laguna. We drive back yet again along the same stretch of road, the fourth time! Decide to stop at San Juan de la Rambla which proves to be a little gem in comparison with La Guancha. Two good bars where it is fun to watch the football amongst the locals. Back home for DVD and ...
