... it died. Managed to get to the edge of Newcastle without too many wrong turns. Then Darryn got his East and west wrong and took us on a detour out west. We needed to get right out to the coast on the east and ended up right in the middle of town on packed roads. ... with the Virgin Rail customer service dudes in India, when I finally hung up the deadline to buy tickets online passed. I went to the station to buy a ticket, and ran into Steve Passant and Keith who had 2 extra first class return rail tickets in their hand so got comped those too!
