    True story.

I was originally planning on limiting my vacation to Tokyo/Kyoto area, but hearing/reading a lot about Hakone convinced me to add it in at the last minute.

I'm here for 2 nights, but unfortunately I'm already regretting this - I wish I could stay here for a few weeks instead.

It would make for a very different kind of vacation, and one that I had not really considered. I wanted to come to Japan ...

Brett and I definitely had one! We get another beautiful view of Mt. Fuji and the valley below from this area.

Hanoke Mountain is a very popular weekend get- away for those living in Tokyo. It’s less than 2 hours away and there are many resorts ...

... enjoyable by the recorded commentary which was supposed to accompany the breathtaking views. As we rose to the top of Mount Hakone, the recording instructed us to brace our selves for the views to come, and soak up the incredible scenery before us. Unfortunately, all we could see was white cloud, which we found hilarious. Perhaps this reflects an English sense of humour, as our fellow Japanese cable car passengers were clearly disappointed and straight faced! At ...

Ginza and Diving on the Izu Peninsula

... for customers to sample. Gabe enjoyed a now infamous fifa session.
Having cut short on the fifa, we retreated for an early night before our early wake-up to go diving a few hours south west of Tokyo, on the Izu peninsula. After meeting our diving instructors at Shinjuku station, we drove down to our spot. The route, on a clear day, is stunning by the way. We had a fantastic view of the spectacular Fuji-san which dominates.
Arriving at the Toi bay, we spent the ...
