    ... Japan train times are precise and reliable. We had booked the 9:10am train and if we missed it we would need to wait until 10:40am.

    Again, the holiday gods were good to us as they made it literally 2 minutes before the train was due to depart. It was a stoke of luck that I decided to buy their tickets for them as we had to sprint to the train and just made it.

    ... of hours, we had lunch at a local restaurant in town, another outstanding bento box with noodles, soup, fish and a number of indecipherable items.

    From lunch we took a short ride to Kegon Falls. We were able to view the falls from several observations spots and got some good group pictures that I will try and add later.

    ... the hostel. I took some time to stop at some of the shops on the way back. Nikko was claiming cheesecake as their main sweet, so I had a Nikko Cheese Egg.(Cheesecake wrapped in a came that tasted of crust- not bad.).
