Headed off this morning from Prague for the drive to Cesky Krumlov which is still in Czech and supposed to be one of the prettiest towns in the country. Today, Krumlov is a popular tourist town and the Czech people come to holiday and take rafts and small boats down the river during summer. We watched the parade of paddlers of which there were hundreds, many enjoying a pub crawl or boozy lunch along the way as they visit many pubs and drink much beer.

... have taken a break midway, because by the time we arrived both Jess and I were tired and sore. The traffic started to bank up, parking was tricky, and we ended up at an expensive Italian place for lunch - but we were too tired to search out a better place. ... steep, you are either going downhill or climbing up hill. It’s all cobblestones and my feet are feeling it. I am not sure the pictures will showcase the steepness of the town.

Our hotel is excellent and in the centre of town, in a building dating back to the 15th century, it is modern inside with all mod cons. We went to dinner just around the corner tonight and enjoyed a very tasty meal. ...
