... river. Koblenz is a beautiful town on the confluence of the Mosel and Rhein rivers with both an old heart and new areas constructed after 85% of the town was destroyed in WW2. We are enjoying the space, fresh air and peace after the chaos of Amsterdam. Our apartment has bikes and a laundry and these have been well used. The hostel was located at the edge of Frankfurt's red light district, which really didn't seem that bad. We felt totally comfortable walking around at night (does that say something about us?) and no one bothered us (again, does this say something about us?). We booked a private room with a shared bath and were really happy with it. Clean, modern and secure.
