      ... we were given a tour of the kitchen, Joanne enjoyed the fried potatoes, sauerkraut while we other great German foods. We enjoyed German beer, wine, Black Forest cake, etc. most of all we enjoyed great conversation with new friends.       ... extremely helpful and introduced me to an Australian family as if I'd know them or they'd know me!!!

      Anyhoo ! the museum has excellent exhibits including many artefacts from Lee, Jackson, Davis, Early, a letter from the Pope, and even a Union announcement.
      It also has a considerable collection of items from ordinary people like, clothes, letters, tools, everyday life and war items. Really worth visiting for an idea of the period ...

      ... buffet breakfast at the hotel (I was out of oatmeal). Then the long flight home... Our flight was about 15 minutes late leaving the airport in Paris, then we encountered strong headwinds, so the 8 hour flight turned into 9 hours 10 minutes...
