    ... but I remembered that I work with the Alabama Legislature, which certainly has a similar vibe. The museum was packed and Laura ran from area to area with a frenzy I'd never seen before. From sliding down a treehouse to milking a life-size plastic cow to riding a carousel twice and other activities, she packed a lot of fun into a small amount of time.

    Kitchen cleaned, trash out, housesitter arranged, Tim's race run, grocery shopping finished, TOK essays graded, we toddled out the door right on schedule at 11:00 a.m., and didn't even have to come back for anything. About 7 hours to get to Greenwood, SC and the first stop: a drive-in.

    Headed out today for New Orleans for the annual IB Conference of the Americas. On the flight from Richmond to Atlanta, I sat next to a Marine with a PTSD dog.     Today is a special day, not only is it just 31 miles (actually I did 35 miles trying to get out of town) but it is the day I get to pick up Bill in DC flying in from Seattle for my finish.
