... flash was so quick that I could not even process it. It was simply a thing. A thing approaching from the right side of the road into my right of way. Now the thump! That was a different story. The thump, I recognized right away. It was the thump of something that was alive only seconds ago. I instinctively looked into my rear view mirror to see what small mammal was going to be splattered on the roadway thanks to my negligence. I saw nothing. No blood. No fur. No ...

We are in Hoquiam now just north of Aberdeen on the coast and just experienced our first Taco Bell! I still can't get over how many fast food places there are especially when they are off ering $5 meal deals including a desert! In Aberdeen alone we have spotted a Dairy Queen (burger) McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Denny's, Taco Bell, KFC and a subway not to mention ...

... Very disappointing as to what we could see, so glad we made the trek to Hat Point. Camped in a beautiful Forest Service campground, right beside Lake Fork River. Weather finally warming up! Thursday 21st. Long day, with lots of driving, but a fantastic couple of hours spent at the National Oregon Trail Visitor Centre, near Baker City. Got to Prineville at 6pm. Very welcome shower& cold beer. Got up to 96 this afternoon. Hottest we've had for ...
