... our next door neighbor got on the train in our car in Philadelphia. Don't ever try to run away from home or have an affair on a train. You are highly likely to meet your best friend or neighbor or relative or so it seems.

At the Conway end of the trail we were give some great advice from the information centre about what to see and how to experience the National Park to the fullest given the weather. There were covered bridges, waterfalls, ponds, mountain views (albeit misty) and towards the end as the weather cleared, we walked the 'track to trail' along the river. ... until we called in Michael's (true) and Steph treated herself to a new fabric cutter. Route 7 took us out of Rutland, northwards towards Burlington alongside Lake Champlain. Just doesn't get any better than starting your day by going to a Ben & Jerry's factory and tasting ice cream. What a success story. We really enjoyed the tour of the factory. I was surprised to learn they freeze all of the ingredients before they put them in the ice cream. If they would not do that, the items would just blend in with the ice cream.
