... I was walking and imagining how people used to leave here for centuries starting from Medieval times when Venice was the center of the Europe. Walking through that almost empty and peaceful tiny streets I could feel all the history of this gorgeous town. This was the REAL Venice.

I was just walking through this tale enjoying the morning when at about 10 o'clock 1000 of noisy, loudy tourists filled this wonderful place and began to ...

Venice, Veneto, Italy fedck... into Mick I spilled the wine ,right? But get over this the guy took the picture of us with the wine spilled anyway I am attaching both and you will see. Met a lot of nice people today, (Americans) because we were wearing our Cardinal stuff. I did not know there were so many Americans. Venice, Veneto, Italy lucy1279... Eventually we worked out which bus we had to catch and where we had to catch it from. Before we caught the bus we walked over the bridge into Venice, wandered around in the heat for about half an hour and then decided we definitely needed to get to the campground.
On the bus we met a Carribean dude who was far friendlier than the shItalain’s and he told us where to get off to transfer onto our second bus. We had to wait for an hour for the second bus. It ...
Venice & Rome, Veneto, Italy jaspergreene... we called it a night. Granted our evenings were not all that eventful, but we filled our days so we were exhausted at night. It always felt so good to just relax and take a load off in the hotel room. Tomorrow is just a travel day for us. There is a group of five of us that are heading out to La Spezia about 20 minutes outside of Cinque Terra. The day is going to be long but we have high hopes for our apartment out there.
Venice, Veneto, Italy twn5017We made our first trip to Venice today after a failed attempt of getting on the wrong train and going all the way to Slovenia! We were happy that we got it right this time! And since it is January, it was a bit on the cold side. But we had fun exploring and getting lost. I had no idea Venice was so big. We must have ...
Venice, Italy nikmarks79... hotels. The lobby is large, wood polished daily, and the hotel is well kept. At night, they have wine and liquor available to purchase at their self serve bar in the lobby. The lobby bathroom was immaculate. The front dest was very helpful with maps, water bus schedules, and helped us choose the best bus to get to the airport (3 euro). Our room had 1 double and 2 twin beds, shower (no bath ...
Venice, Veneto, Italy kimmerst... today. We need to find a post office and the train station before we can go home so I'm hoping thy are just around the corner. On the Italian people. During the day, I love them. Loud, carefree and the men seem very in touch with their own "packages" (I can see why Tom aspires to be one). They're shouting a lot of the time, but I don't mind and neither do they. Shirts are optional and so are pants for some reason. During the night is ...
