... down my Westjet flight back to BC. One would think that upon arriving home, I would have time to collect myself and contemplate my next step...but I got home just in time to move my parents from our family home in Nanaimo, to their new pad in Vic. The move went smoothly, while at the same time I was bouncing between Nanaimo, Vic and Vancouver trying to see dentists, doctors and immigration officials! The Visa process was by far the sticking point on the whole move. I ...
London, London, City of, United Kingdom mwallz... as I got there...but I still walked around and got some really cool stuff and it was all fairly cheap...except for the £25 purse that I bought...just disregard that, yes?
Then I came back to the hostel, after one last starbucks stop (I lie...I'll probably get some tomorrow on the way to the airport). Kim and I went through our usual ritual of the days that we spend apart: I sit on the floor, we trade the days stories, show all that was purchased, and then go downstairs ...
... us as our suburb has street names all from Shakespearean plays so made us smile when names of our streets kept popping up in the play. The performance lasted 2 and half hours and was well worth it. We caught a late night train back to King's Cross and to bed. Wednesday 29th April Today we went to the legendary Ace café which is a motorbike café that was famous when it was a hangout for the rockers in the 60's who rode café racers around the nearby streets. Today it is a ...
London, England, United Kingdom kasnsqueak... visits to Camden, I have eaten at a particular food stall and always enjoyed the food. Today would be no different. Some rice, fried chicken bits and pork with mushrooms in what I think was oyster sauce in a single small takeaway style dish - food on the go which I happily ate in their little seating area. Well, I had nowhere else to go at that moment in time.

... you really have to go down to get there! We bought our tickets and hopped a few tubes until we reached Piccadilly Circus, which was where our hostel was located, right near the Soho area. Once we reached the surface, we got a little disoriented and had to stop for directions, but we finally made it past the Cinnabon, McDonald's, and KFC without having an American breakdown and to our hostel, Piccadilly Backpacker's Hostel. The ...
London, England, United Kingdom mcm38250... fan. When we saw the studios, I wasn't thinking about the Beatles though, I was excited that Nightwish had recorded there. :) After that, we explored some more and shopped a little bit. London is cool, but it feels really similar to home... I think I'll feel more like I'm in Europe once we go to countries where they speak other languages. Tomorrow we leave early to go on the Eurostar train to Paris, so I'm really excited for that.
London, England, United Kingdom wanderlusting... Circus because that's where I thought she'd be. It was the first time I had been outside of the Oxford Circus station, after having seen it for weeks on end on the tube map and as a stop I heard announced daily. And as it was, I had just finished my work so I was in an incredible need for a cooled brew and a seat, the crowd outside the station was unbelievable and made me want to move even faster. Every street behind the station seemed empty though (for London standards), but ...
London, United Kingdom verlander... Stonehenge. We parked in the carpark paid our admittance and headed of through the tunnel under the motorway the the field where the great stucture lies. The stones are fenced off so you cannot get up close to them and the path leads you around the structure and at times is at some great distance from the ...
London, United Kingdom callow1234... to artifacts from Ancient Egypt, Assyria, Greece and Rome. One could literally spend the rest of their lives in this place, it's that big... and it's that captivating. We only had about 2 hours. I'll tell you, they went by so fast... it felt like we were there for five minutes. Starting off with Ancient Egypt, one of my personal obsessions, the first thing you see when you enter the room is THE Rosetta Stone. Not a ...
London, United Kingdom northwesthook... is one I nicknamed "The Falcon." The one guy, around his late forties, would start flapping his arms and with the most intense of gazes would swoop attack his wife while she danced on the other side of the room. My friend Alex and I started dancing with them and then sat down and drank with them for a while. The Falcon dancer is actually a painter and we plan on going to his upcoming show on June 2. Another woman with them, scandalously ...
