We spent most of yesterday and today preparing and filling the Motorhome ready for our 4 week trip. This meant endless trips up and downstairs and in and out of the MH with bedding, towels, clothes etc etc.

... to Brighton Pier it was dusk (only 4:30PM) and so we took some more photos with the carnival lights on. It was definitely much calmer now and there had been blue sky on occasion during the afternoon. We drove back to the hotel by driving along the beach, to avoid the central traffic, and around the outskirts of town. ... of specialist axle stands. They work wonderfully - tried out in the New Forest. We aren't going to get a generator at the moment - we are not sure whether we would use it. We have adequate battery power and solar power to run the items that we need. All that is left is to sort out Smartie with an A frame and/or a trailer. And then to decide when to give up work.

James parents house and parents were very nice. In true parent fashion they were always pushing foods on you, they even pulled out an array of desserts to chose from. The next day Julia went shopping while Paul showed me around Brighton. It was such a nice day so we had lunch then sat on the beach for the rest of the afternoon (too cold for swimming though, the wind over here is vicious). Once the sun started going home Julia and I had to get the train back to London and I hit the hay straight away to make up for lack of sleep.
