At 1 in the morning, the girl from London knocked on the door saying she was kicked out of the other room and came into ours. She was upset because her bottom bed was taken, and then sat on her bed with her tennis on facing Nicola...which was creepy.

We got to Petersfield where we stayed at the Cricketers Inn.
That night Heather met us to take us to their place for a meal. It was good to see both Mike and Heather who we hadn't seen for 5 years. They were annual visitors to Jajarawong for many years.

Travelled to a campsite just outside Winchester yesterday.
The plan was to do the final section of the SDW today but just as we were about to set out, it started raining. We decided to sack that idea and have a cultural day in the Saxon capital of England, Winchester.

Then it was a stroll through town to see the party pad of George IV, the Brighton Pavilion, where he shed the shackles of royalty and let his hair down. It is quite a gaudy building, very suited for its use. The grounds were alive with couples strolling, musicians strumming, folks having their lunch on the lawn and people dressed to the nines for some kind of function. ...
Just a short drive up to Dunkirk and a better crossing - only two hours on the ferry.
All the way to the port it was clear that the recent storms had caused huge flooding. Fields were under water and crops were spoilt.
But we got home late evening and cleared out the motorhome, ready to clean it tomorrow and return it.
What a hugely fabulous time we have had. Can't wait to pick up my own motorhome.
