This week, we have been at Bartons, my uncle's house. We are only doing one thing per day. Here are the things we have been doing:
Monday: We went to Petworth House, a very rectangular house with lots of paintings, sculptures, and massive grounds.
Tuesday: We went to the town of Battle, where the Battle of Hastings was fought in 1066, when William the Conquerer ...
Party in Bognor for all the "Schooleys" - sort out with Laney costs and location.
All got together at the Martlets for lunch and a couple of drinks about 40 turned up including Elaine and Inesto bit of a surprise. Great afternoon and evening with the "family".
Went on a bit too late in the night really got home around midnight and turned into a pumpkin!
... six cars! Car moved and went to fire up Monty - another campervan parks up in the space. Another negotiation!! Eventually Monty is able to get out and off to fill up with diesel.
Once David arrives home and gets scrubbed down, we set off to the New Forest to our planned stop at Sway. Fish and chips picked up in Brockenhurst on the way.
... all over. Thats the kind of shower you want in this situation. It was grim. It was at this stage that due to things I won't go into here, that I decided to sort out an early flight home. This involved the extremley painful call to Air India. Numerous calls actually as the first guy cut me off. But it was sorted soon enough and I was advised would cost me £150 as they would upgrade me to a higher class. Not bad but it involved another 3.45am start to catch it. Oh well thought naive ...
... a week in the Borneo Jungle living in an Iban long house and hopefully spotting wild orangutans and other wildlife,doing some trekking around the jungle and interacting with the Iban tribe. There is also the possibility of taking part in a project whilst in the jungle, such as counting orangutan nests or some reforestation
