It's cloudy today. Valley is filled with clouds and mists. We have more strength now and wanted to try a longer hike. We picked the hike between Tresviso and San Esteban roughly about 3.7 miles long with moderate difficulty.

... view. In about 6-7 min, we reached the top. From there, we walked a bit to get to the village of Bulnes. It's a very lovely small village next to a small stream and seems to be just living off tourism because in this tiny village, there were roughly about 6-7 bars/restaurants! With about 15-20 min hike up from the village, we could see Naranjo de Bulnes - majestic looking limestone peak - far away.
... a couple of times to admire the view. I could hear just the wind humming through grasses, cow bells far away and occasional goats calling each other. So peaceful. The air is so clean, I couldn't help but wonder whether it will clean our toxins as well.

I was very sad and disappointed because today was the day to check out 2 of the most historically important caves in the world. We even had reservations made from Canada. But what can we do when we cannot even step out of our room... We ended up sleeping almost all day, only managed to walk out to a downstairs cafe to have warm cups tea and fruit juice. Today we move on to a new place - Santillana del Mar. It's a small medieval town on the path of pilgrims - Camino de Santiago. As we drove, we saw many people with backpacks and walking sticks on their pilgrimage towards Santiago de Compostela. For us, it's a strategical town to check out 2 of the prehistoric caves - Altamira and Cuevas de Castillo - which we will visit tomorrow. ...
