FACT: James Bailey conceived the tagline “The Greatest Show on Earth” following a tour of the Miami International Boat Show….well, Tyler’s pretty sure, anyway. The show is one of the largest in the world with 3,000 boats and 2,000 exhibitors spread over multiple locations. Having been to both the Newport and Annapolis shows before we were really excited to see ...

    Off to Disney Orlando

This morning was our first early start since leaving Melbourne. With over 3000 passengers on the cruise ship I was keen to get moving and not be stuck forever getting off. So we left at 7.00 and were in a cab to the airport by 7.30. Miami airport is huge and was sooo busy, had hoped to get onto an earlier flight but they were totally booked ( or overbooked), so by the time ...

... Board Walk RV Park, it turns out, is the winter home for about 200 "Canadian Snowbirds". There was a large group from Montreal that apparently comes down every winter and meets up. After they all landed, we started to feel like a minority, between them and the Hispanic full-time residents of the park. I'll say this about the Canucks: they like to sun themselves with very little clothing (old men wearing speedos with bellies sticking out!), they love to play volleyball ...

Gary and Karley met us at Miami airport and we had an easy night of beers and dinner whilst trying to forget about the dump of a hostel we were staying in as we had a big day ahead of us...

EVERGLADES!! This place was amazing and much better than I had expected. We filled up at I Hop (??) which was just a mega pancakes, hash browns kind of place and headed to the park. Gary was first to spot an alligator, quite a distance away ...
