Our Christmas vacation continues. We continue to have good road conditions, however, the cold prairie winters we remember have descended upon us the last few days. We drove into Winnipeg yesterday and enjoyed a visit with B and Alvin. This morning we braved -33 (-40 or more with the windchill) temperatures as we headed south to St. Cloud Minnesota. After lunch Deb drove me to one of her friends farm where they have horses so it ...

These storms that the Midwest USA get are definitely bigger than the ones I'm used to in Australia. They seem to just last longer! It rained pretty much all of today so we decided to work inside of the hoop house and we removed all the arugula and spinach and Debbie worked on pruning her tomatoes. It's amazing to watch ...

... white chocolate and macadamia nut cookies in the bakery section there- SCORE!!! My favorite! Of course when we got home I opened the packet up and started eating them... couldn't resist! Debbie was nice enough to let me drive home from town! Woohoo! It's so fun driving on the opposite side of the road! I pretty much drove like a snail though, lol. For dinner tonight Debbie and I made a stir fry and salad. I went into the hoop house to ...
