(Maybe 30-40 degrees grade. I'm NOT exaggererating)

Thank GOD we had a gooseneck,. Bumper pull
would NEVER have made
it. I really don't know how the girls stayed on ...
Tampico, Northern Mexico, Mexico chrissybz... a lifetime, a greater feeling of accomplishment after a show that impacted entire communities, a tighter hug when leaving for home, and more memories to share with family and friends upon my return.

----------------------
Well, Monday is the day. The day that I am reunited with Cast B! I am so excited to see them and to hear about their adventures in the previous two cities (Leon and Queretaro). I'm sure that they will have plenty to tell me :) We have a big week ...
Veracruz, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico meluebkeTampico is much nicer than Monterrey! The family we are staying with is really cool. They are Catholic, so we've had a good chance to witness. We gave the husband a book called "More than Conquerers" so he could practice his english..... We went out for Tacos and Gringas - Muy Rico! We have an overnight bus tonight to Veracruz, then on to Cordoba - exactly what everyone says not to do!
Tampico, Northern Mexico, Mexico robandmillie... food - that's right! Not for 7 hours! It was kinda tortuous, but we arrived to meet our host family. They are very sweet! We went to a taqueria to eat and talk! I forgot to mention that the taxi driver to the bus in Monterrey let us pray for him and because we did, he wouldn't take any money for the ride! Sometimes I don't know who is ministering to who more...us, or the people God sends us to...
Tampico, Northern Mexico, Mexico millieradosti... Mercado and how to say it. At 12:15 pm everyone should be back and ready for lunch so you head for the zocalo to catch the bus back to the school. The Mexican girls are good cooks and sometimes the food will surprise you, like the green spaghetti we had for lunch one day. I have to admit it was the best spaghetti I have ever eaten. From 1:15 pm until 3:15 pm it is more classroom instruction. On Thursdays they form two or three to a group and go on ...
Veracruz, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico frostforestOur first stop in the morning was to an insurance agent to get some car insurance for traveling in Mexico. An official at the Texas visitors station had given me a number of an agency. The lady on the phone was helpful and indicated that getting the insurance State side was better than at the border in case a claim needed to be made. We get to the office and the craziness begins as the Old Man tells us that we can´t go through Mexico with the intention of ...
Tampico, Northern Mexico, Mexico knownicaraguaSince we were leaving that day around noon, I had several hours to explore the neighborhood.
Tampico, Northern Mexico, Mexico danalubow... gust here or a little drift there, but it was very slow going. At one point our instruments were reading a negative 1 knot per hour! We were not making enough headway to buck the current!. The fourth day out we were all on deck. There was a little frustration in the air. Should we have followed the coast looking for a land breeze? We had opted for a route 30 miles out of our way and further into the gulf in our quest to find the ...
Veracruz, Mexico lavidanueva... as busy this morning as it was last night and the food was great too. La Gran Cafe de Parrochia is the name. An experience not to be missed if you pass through Veracruz. I´ve got to go pack and get ready to vamos. Adios amigos. I may be sleeping in Villahermosa tonight or I may bus it through the night and get to Chetumal early if I can make a good connection.
Veracruz, Mexico chrissybzTampico DOES have some points of interest, notably nearby Huastec ruins, but I had neither the time nor knowledge nor inclination for them at the time, so I change buses and move on. It's hot as Hell, so I order up one of those delicious-looking aguas naturales in the big jars with big chunks of ice floating in them. Big mistake.
